Itinerary
A former French hill station, located in the middle of the breaktaking landscapes in the north of Vietnam, Sapa is one of the most wonderful places in Asia and is a magical combination of landscapes, ethnic cultures and bracing mountain air. There are excellent areas for hiking through lush mountain valleys to the remote villages of diffirent minorities, including the Black H'mong and the Red Dzao...
Night 1: Hanoi - Lao Cai
Our car will pick you up at your hotel and then transfer to Ha Noi Train Station to get the night train to Lao Cai station. Overnight on train.
Day 1: Lao Cai - Sapa - Lao Chai - Ta Van (B, L, D)
Picked up at Lao Cai Station early in the morning by our bus. Arrive at Sapa round 6: 00 AM. Have breakfast to get to Laochai village. Enjoy the overall pictures of the villages among terraces. Visit the H'mong living in wooden and bamboo houses. Continue going to Tavan village to visit the Dzay minority. Stay the night in Tavan village at a Dzay family. Picnic lunch on the way and dinner and overnight at the home-stay.
Day 2: Ta Van - Ban Ho (B, L, D)
Breakfast with the local family and then get to a village located at the foot of HoangLienSon range via bamboo forests. Visit a waterfall and a rattan bridge. After visitting Giang ta chai village, get down to the river, cross it and keep going to SuPan village for 2 minorities - The H'mong and the Red Dzao.. Get off the road to go down hill to BanHo village. Overnight at Ban Ho with a Tay family who have houses on stilts. Picnic lunch on the way and dinner at the family. Overnight in homestay.
Day 3: Ban Ho - Thanh Phu (B, L, D)
Get up early in the morning for fresh air and peaceful daily life of the people. Breakfast and leave the village for a hard day. Walk uphill to a smallest and almost untouched village of the Red Dzao (Namtoong). Go further to another village on the same side of of the mountain range to see the Xa Pho ethnic group in NamKen. Get down to the river and go up to Mi on to visit the Xa Pho again. Spend the night in Thanh Phu village at a Tay family. Picnic lunch on the way and dinner with the local family. Overnight in homestay
Day 4: Thanh Phu - Sapa (B, L, D)
Breakfast at Thanh Phu village. Walk back to Su Pan village where to take a jeep back to Sapa. On the way back, visit the ancient stone circle (stones decorated with ancient carvings which are said to have described the life of the people lost in the mists of prehistory). Check in hotel. Lunch at Su Pan. Overnight in hotel.
Day 5: Cat Cat - Lao Cai (B, L, D)
Breakfast, visit village of the black H'mong (Catcat), walk around visiting people in the village and the hydroelectric power station built by the French in the old days. Back town have lunch and check out hotel, free to explore the town until take bus to get to Lao Cai Station for the night train back to Hanoi. Overnight on the train..
Day 6: Hanoi - Arrival
Getting back to Hanoi at early morning. Take a taxi to come your hotel by yourself. End of services.
